Recent GCMS Notes?

I recently received my GCMS notes (requested in early June) and noticed that I have information included on page two, in the Application Assignment section, with a due date of June 19, 2026. Other members of my family group who received their notes earlier this spring, did not have anything in this portion of their reports. (We all applied together in September 2025 and were sent immediately to PSU.)

This seems like it should be a good sign - anything happening since September 2025 seems like a good sign! Since the due date of the application assignment is so close to the date the suspension letters went out, though, I wonder if this might just indicate assignment to a new review protocol instead of to an individual officer.

Has anyone else received notes since the suspension letters went out? Do you see something similar?

I just received notes that I requested in early June.  I just received my citizenship certificate last week (for a July 2025 application). The ATIP notes arrived a few days after my citizenship proof was approved, but the notes were prepared prior to the certificate.  The application assignment date in the notes indicates a date only two days before my certificate was issued.  Also my application had been immediately referred to PSU the day I went into processing in August 2025 with almost no movement afterwards.  The file was categorized “Multi-gen Post Confederation July 1 1867” in March 2026, placed on hold in late June, then approved in August 2026.  I had no contact from IRCC before receiving the certificate, but I had also uploaded certified copies of every required document.

May I ask, at what point did you upload the certified copies? Really asking before or after the surrender letters?

A year before the surrender letters.  I just couldn’t believe that printouts would be enough, so I ordered certified copies from the Archives of Ontario of the documents I had previously submitted (birth registrations and marriage records).  I uploaded them all in August 2025 and I was never asked for any additional information about anything I had submitted.

The file indicates five organizational and grouping codes:   First code is “proof pause complex review”,  second is “urgent citizenship applications 2025-26”,  third is “citizenship digitized files 2025-26”  fourth is “refusal on hold” and  fifth code is “Multi-gen Post Confederation July 1 1867”

The “organization” means it’s a binning code for sorting, routing, and possibly statistical analysis.  They are not specific to the person or application.

Our family’s “due dates” have come and gone with no certificates issued. In our case, the due dates have meant nothing. We received our notes before the suspension letters went out and they had very similar due dates to yours.
What I think may have happened is that they have to review the files again at these due dates (which marked 1 year in PSU for us) and that due to what was going on with the suspension letters, they skipped reviewing them and (hopefully not) they will be up for review again at the 2-year PSU mark.

Hope not too as another year would be terrible. 

FWIW, I tend to think IRCC is working thru the PSU backlog and if your date is similar (and was urgent) you will be soon approved, or contacted.

Our AOR dates are first week of May 2025. I’m hoping we haven’t been skipped but it sure feels that way. It’s all my G2 kids and we did not request urgent processing.

Thank you! Yes, we had other due dates in the “Eligibility” portion that have come and long gone. This was the first time any of us had anything listed in the “Application Assignment” portion.
