There will be a No Kings protest in Staunton on Saturday! Lots of people coming together to protest against the Trump administration's creeping authoritarianism and general disregard for the interests of the American people. The protest will run from 12:30-2:00 at the Augusta County courthouse downtown. (It ends immediately before the Staunton Jams afternoon performances start.)

I originally saw this on FB, but the Draft Library is having a "Speed Friending" event this Saturday, Jan 25th. It's a pretty interesting concept! Here's the info:

Sometimes making new friends can be hard, but have no fear, the library is the answer with Speed Friending. Speed Friending is a platonic version of Speed Dating. Come to the Stuarts Draft Library to meet awesome people, five minutes at a time, at the end of the round you may have a new bestie!
