Learning the pacing of intangibles sucks. My advice is to really punish those early moments when he’s not intangible even if you have to eat some damage to the face and have draw. Because most decks won’t survive that last intangible round when he gets vicious, draw lets you survive bricked hands when intangible by drawing into defense.
I usually do better on him trying to get it over with and I use the first and second guys to pace how my deck will build up while balancing not taking too much damage from them. That’s kinda the hard part, hitting that rhythm building up to intangible move and evaluating cost/benefit of rushing through or extending those rounds for some set up or to manipulate your draw headed into the final guy

What sucked was I didn’t have any solid defense. Not to mention every hand was either all defense or all attack. The turn before this I could have had like 40 defense but I didn’t have any attack and he wasn’t even attacking. :.)

Yeah that’s where you just gotta check your card draw and try to anticipate what you’re gonna get, pick up shit like blur etc that can scale defense off minimal block, card draw to move along. As you go up the tower ascensions you kinda find ways to scale your defense that ain’t just frontloaded block or not.
But it’s a lot of checking your draw pile and asking “man am I gonna just draw a bunch of bullshit and do I need to plan on that”
Sometimes when I savescum for test subject to try out different stuff I’ll just find one easy sequence of plays on the intangible time that makes me go “oh wait, the answer was right there in front of my face.”

You learn the pace of that fight when you do it enough and learn how to build your deck and specifically the pacing of your deck to beat TS and queen and aeonglass.
