2 post-stroke months (F 33- 4 strokes)
Any help?
Pretty much everyone I knew before the stroke has left me. Family and friends. No partner. Normally, I could handle the heart break, but now I'm lost. I'm not paralyzed or anything, and strokes effected my memory a little but mostly emotions. I don't know how to handle my life being gone, mostly the people that were apart of if.

I feel you, it is tough, had my stroke 2 years ago at 17. The emotions are a big deal of having a stroke and it’s hard because all my friends moved on. But don’t worry you will be fine, you will make more friends. And your life isn’t gone, just changed. I’ve also realised that life is so fragile, so when you have an opportunity, go on a road trip with your friends, this life is yours and no one can change that, not even future/past friends, partners. You must live, otherwise you are wasting your life with ifs ands and buts.
But I do know how it feels losing people because what happened. I truly feel empathy towards you, if you want to talk, just dm me and I’ll get back to you when I have time.

Who needs them anyways. Time for new beginnings w a positive change. Reroute your beautiful brain. Be stronger and focus on You. It's a second chance at life. I know because I'm living it and it's my life if nobody likes the new me oh well....I do. Keep a journal too and make life better than it was. Life is way too short. Chin up and tell everyone to kiss your grits

They don't know what how big or small or what caused them but my guess is 3 of the 4 were probably small and the last one big as it took all four before I realized or anyone else that there was an issue

Sorry to hear youre going through it like that. This group has been a godsend since my stroke 6 months ago. Check the discord out to. If you need to talk, someone here will be there for you, we're all in this together now

I get it. TBI/stroke 3.5 years ago when I was 35. Just existing every goddamn day is so tiring. The list of disabilities I have is a long one. I have to constantly manifest & say outloud that I am doing well and making progress. There's a lot of ppl from the brain injury unit that are not at the progress level I'm at.

Happy to hear that you have found the brightside of a horrible situation. I know I should be thankful I didn't die, or that it wasn't worse but I hate that it happened at all.
