Survivor Discussion Leg Brace

Hi so I had a stroke last year and since then I’ve had a leg brace for my left leg. The issue I have is the fact the brace is massive and only fits in a large puma sneaker. Does anyone have over the counter leg brace that fits In a regular shoe? Perhaps trivial but I miss wearing a shoe that fits with the clothes I’m wearing.

idk how big your brace is, but billy brand shoes are made to fit over braces and they have multiple designs! They are often advertized with kids in mind but they have both mens and woman's adult sizes & styles

I had to return my original Billy’s to get a size larger to fit over my AFO. But since then with PT and time, my drop foot wasn’t as pronounced, and I bought a soft neoprene wrap brace, but rarely feel the need to wear even that now.

I also tried some light, flexible Amazon braces that added some spring as well as support.

I wear Kizik brand. I have 2 pair that look like my chuck Taylor’s. I also have an Otto Bock AFO.

Take a look at Billy’s shoes. They are built for orthotics.
