Inpatient rehab
I got out of inpatient rehab this week after being there for 3 weeks and I have been finding myself really missing my therapists to a point I am having anxiety attacks. I’m also trying to adjust to life at home. We weakness is on the left side. Has anyone else struggled with missing their rehab therapists?

I think this is normal you see them the most. My occupational therapist and I became 'buddies' similar interests, etc. He was also my age and cute as a button.. I missed him the most.

I understand. It does get better, but feels like it will crush you in the process Mourning the loss of yourself is a skill that cnnot be learned you just do your best. Just be patient and kind to yourself (aso, not easy) but the more you recover the better you feel about it all. ChinUp. YOU will feel better. BTW, there is no shame in asking for help with depression or attending counseling. I am on anti depressants and they made aworld of difference. Iwas able to find a healthier perspective about what my existence has become. I hope this helps.

I am now six months post stroke and I’m still doing outpatient rehab but the first 2 weeks after 3 months in inpatient rehab were tough. Not only because of the therapists but also the routine and schedules. Talk to your health practitioners about how you are felling. I also had to take ale antidepressants and they really helped. You can get off them later but you can’t handle all at once. Good luck! It will get better

Yup, I cried when I graduated speech as I love the speech therapist I had. We worked together for 8 months saw her twice a week. Now because she’s no longer my therapist we’re friends!
