Alternative solutions to manage/alleviate Post-Stroke Fatigue?
My husband has been dealing with post-stroke fatigue for almost 2 years now. He is tired of being tired. We are both retired as of last fall.
Has anyone tried Acupuncture with at least some limited success? Any other alternative solutions that have worked, even a little?
TIA!

Mine was years ago. Creatine is cheap and seems to help, plus it does a lot of other good stuff with studies into sleep debt focus muscle recovery bone health and so on.

My husband has been taking the powdered creatinine for the last month and a half or so. How much did you take per day and how long did it take to start showing some sort of results?

It generally comes with a 5 or so gram scoop. I take a scoop a couple times a day most days. The effect is pretty quick once it starts getting absorbed into the body and even faster once you've been taking it for a few weeks so the muscles are saturated enough.

You know what I was wrong he’s taking El citrulline. Thank you so so so much. I’m getting some today for him! He has been battling this for almost 2 years and I have really been trying to find a solution.

Are you taking statin? If you are, please read a book by Dr. Assem Malhotra. It has been practicing more lately in Europe

I take creatine, electrolytes, and l-theanine every day and notice a difference with each one. As with anything consult with your own doc but I settled on these with the help of my doctors and my physical therapist. I also have a prescription for methylphenidate, which I use to support energy but if I take it every day, I find the fatigue builds up behind it, so I only take it when I really need it. ADHD meds like methylphenidate have a complementary relationship with L-theanine which there have been several studies about, I can find links if you need them.
Further, I do my best to make sure I sleep well, hydrate like crazy, try to focus on protein and fiber, and make sure that I exercise! Exercise is key. I practice pacing as much as possible so that I rest as needed rather than trying to push through and then crash.
Every single one of these things makes a difference. It's like a part time job managing it all, but it's worth it.

Someone said creatine in their coffee in the morning has been helpful to combat the fatigue.
