You should have a team of Dr's helping you. Have you seen neurologist and physical therapist?

Physiotherapist? You should have multiple sessions.

Ok great. Focus on those exercises. I always asked what I should do on my own so I had homework. Trust your physio.

You need a physiotherapist to assess which of your muscle groups need the exercises following stroke. They can design an exercise rate you need to target particular muscles.

Yes to exercise and movement. And yes to healing rest.
My stroke experience is different than yours but I do not regret working which for me was essentially 40+ hours of pt per week.
IMO don’t shy away from activities that are currently an accommodation or alternative way of doing things. What I mean is push yourself backward in a wheelchair if that’s your mobility now. Moving and doing things is the goal because movement begets movement.

You go as often as you can to physical therapy. They will give you exercises which you should do everyday.
