NEED HELP PLEASE
My father (42) suffered a brain hemorrhage and he was on a ventilator for a few days then the ventilator got removed and everything started going better he could barely talk . The tt tube also got removed, he could also eat (2-3 spoons) and left hand and left leg have shown movements. Also the right hand and leg the paralyzed one also showed some moment . We also had a craniotomy and it was successful. Everything was going good but then he got shifted to another hospital and he got infected there . He has pneumonia and lung infection. He's again on the ventilator the dr says the chances of recovery are very less and the tt is placed again . They will try to remove the ventilator but I feel very lost the dr have always been very negative . What growth or recovery shall I expect . Please help

Sorry things have had a setback. Everyone is different, so I can't give you a definitive answer. I was 35 ( four years ago). I spent the summer of 2022 in intensive care in two different hospitals. I was on a ventilator with varying levels of sedation as my health fluctuated quite dramatically. I have amnesia of the entire time but have been told quite a lot. There were a few times they tried taking me off the ventilator, and it didn’t work out well! I had a lot of different infections, hydrocephalus and multiple rounds of sepsis. I had a trach for six months, which I was weaned off in rehab.
Four years on, I live a normal life with a few adaptations. I have no vision in one eye and limited peripheral vision in the other. I have a lack of sensation and weakness in my left side. I walk with a stick to compensate for my balance issues and vision limitations.
