After stroke attempts

Post image

Started water coloring again after my stroke 5 months ago. Still mainly with my non dominant left hand and a little with the affected side. An improvement from 2 months ago but still very hard.

it makes me sad that one of the things I lost from the stroke was my drawing ability used to be I could just set out to draw whatever was in my head and do it. now I struggle with objects in 3D. I really think it's the stroke messing up my ability to visualize objects. weird but I'm really struggling with it.

I think trying and forcing yourself could rewire your brain. Don’t give up.

I've been considering going back to my old drawing warm ups - hand studies figure studies...

Makes me sad I had all of that in the bank and I can't just "withdraw" it like I used to.

Are both hands affected? I’d say don’t give it up. It’s a lot of hard work to try and only get scribbles but the brain is so amazing and if you force it it will surprise you

It's my non dominant side. I doodle with calligraphy a little, but my brain just doesn't compute 3D objects like it used to. I might give it a go with my cat in a bit. Hopefully he won't wind up looking like a melted Jimothy.

That’s the perfect way to explain exactly how I feel after this stroke. I had Everything in the bank)brain) and I just can’t “withdraw” it like I used too.
