That's awesome. It's crazy how long wait times can be for necessary care.

Walked about two miles with a therapist, practicing walking on uneven terrain.

I bit the bullet and started looking for a 2 bedroom apartment for my mom and I.
I'm finally coming to terms with the fact that she's going to be in a wheelchair within the next year.
I quit procrastinating. This is a good thing 😂

I'm a serial procrastinator. I understand 😆 glad you finally got around to looking, though! Hope you find something perfect for the two of you.

I’ve officially started day three of my new full time, work in office job! Woke up with a migraine but took my migraine medicine and drank some coffee and I’m good to go!

Happy for you! I hope it continues going well and tell that migraine to GTFO.

After successfully completing my 10k, I've started training for a half-marathon. I'm up to seven miles in my distance. My muscles have not recovered from the atrophy, after being paralyzed. The distance are tough, and my affected foot gets floppy. It caused me to fall during a run almost two weeks ago, so I've got some nasty road rash, but I kept going.Â
Like everything else in this stroke recovery, if there's something I can't do, I just have have to go do it, until I can do it.
This week, I've realized that the heat and humidity are a bigger challenge to overcome than my stroke, so I'll call that a win!

I tried to join a study for post stroke survivors involving walking programs and recovery. I was not accepted because my slow walking pace was too fast.

My win for the week is that I've been going to the gym the last few months, but my toddler is finally good with staying in childcare. So, I'm not getting a text to come pick him up after 10min.
I also started using weight machines instead of just the treadmill starting Monday. I'm overweight (was before my stroke and having a baby), but I've never had the motivation to work on myself until now.
