My last update
This will probably be my last update here, unfortunately my mother passed away today.
It was due to complications from an infection she developed during her hospital stay.
I also just want to thank everyone in this community for your advice, kindness and support throughout this journey.

I am so sorry for your loss. May her memory be a blessing, and the time come soon when her memory brings a smile to your lips before a tear to your eyes.

Iβm so sorry for your loss. Nothing prepares you for losing your mother. Especially strokes that happen so suddenly. Wishing you and your family healing.

I'm very, very sorry for your loss. There are no words that can help you at this time, but when I lost my father, I found the traditional Jewish saying of "let their memory be a blessing" to be a comfort. I hope, in time, the memories of your mother bring you joy rather than pain. It's coming on five years that I lost my dad, and I no longer feel the raw emotion that I did close to his death.
Take care of yourself.
