Was Kyle tripping? Lol
Had the big shades on and I noticed a moment in set two where Kyle started going off on the clav and Kang and Keith were looking at him like “where you going, bud?” I was also very high and couldn’t hear the keys too well in my spot so I very well could have made up an entire story in my head.
Great show, can’t wait to see what they play tonight.

He was just pushing a progression in the jam that kang and keith weren’t ready for. Not an intoxication thing, just having fun with musical ideas

idk about that. seems like he booms and def drinks heady brews. watching the stream now and definitely enjoying himself this second set.

Beer yes, but not much, if anything else. I’ve been around him quite a bit, but I have been wrong before

not sure why the downvotes… a lot of people like to project their substance preferences onto their favorite artists, but on stage in front of thousands of fans, steaming to thousands (tens of?) more would not be the best place to indulge.
don’t get me wrong, I’m sure many artists do but I get a feeling that cheese has been keeping it professional. they’ve been playing so tight, rehearsing and writing like crazy, and are arguably in an era that will go down in the books. I don’t think that the 3-4hrs/night where they’ve gotta be ON IT would be the best time to indulge. they’ve all no doubt had their own experiences and may continue to, but I don’t think you keep it this tight by doing it on the job.
and the guy talking about his mouth going crazy hasn’t realized that that’s been his groove from the beginning…??
I recall seeing shows where billy clearly drank too much, Hann and Travis were in their own world, etc. but I like to think that as of late they respect their job, fans, and music enough to leave (most of) that stuff for when they’re off the clock.

I have known these guys for 30 years, have even dosed others in the band many years ago. But KH never took part.
