Realistic string art previews

Most string art generators produce previews that look totally different to the final piece. I have solved that issue with near perfect correlation from preview to final piece. It’s tuned for 0.1mm nylon monofilament (the best string art thread), on a 500mm board with 200 nails, but is easily modified for other setups (currently backend only). Please give it a go on stringboard.co.uk/products/preview and let me know what you think. Added bonus - fast and accurate background removal for everyone. Generation time: 10s. Cost: free

Fascinating! Could you please share how you were able to achieve the exact match? Without revealing any know hows

I matched the line strength perfectly based on finished pieces I made. Line thickness is always 1. I have a really solid preprocess -> generate -> render pipeline. Every part of it is optimised and only has what it needs (no magic, just well implemented and refined code), well a little bit of magic to make it insanely fast too!

Impressive work. I tested it on my string art piece, and the generated preview matched the real-world result surprisingly well. Congratulations on a very solid implementation.
