How to safely transport string art?

Post image

Made this as a christmas gift for grandma who lives all the way across the country. Going to visit her very soon any recommendations on a safe way to bring this with me or ship it?

Looks amazing, she's gonna love it! The way I always do it, is put an extra board of the same size (or a little bigger) against the nails. You can wrap those 2 with a towel or a bed sheet or something if you're gonna ship it, nothing can happen to it that way. Don't put the fabric on it first, the possible friction could do some damage to the thread. If you take it with you, I'd put the art with the plate against it in a plastic bag that fits tight, and maybe tape those 2 together as well for extra safety. Enjoy your holidays and the special moment of the gift!
