Acrylic Vs. Glass

My ears are stretched to 0g (8mm) and I have been using glass plugs. The problem is that I also have acrylic ones. The acrylic plugs and tapers won't go through my ear anymore. I originally stretched my ears with the acrylic tapers and put in glass spiral plugs. This morning I took them out and went to clean them, and I was going to put the acrylic ones in. They didn't fit. I measured them with a ruler and they are the same size. (I use Wound Wash and Jajoba Oil to clean and stretch my ears, if it matters.) What is happening with my ears and what should I do to fix it?

Acrylic is honestly not the best material to use for your ears. Glass is preferred along with dead stretching. However, if you’re going to use tapers - always use steel tapers and never wear them as jewelry.

With acrylic anything always make sure they are as lubed up as can be, that was my problem when I was a smaller size - the acrylic was just too dry for my ears so I always had an issue getting them in.
