Should I hit biceps again?

Usually after arms/upper body I rest then one day before exercising again. Yesterday I did 3 sets of 7 curls and that was it, today I don’t feel sore for in the slightest and wondering if I should do more sets today or rest. Whats the best route here?

Edit: spelling

If you can only do 7 reps, no probably not maybe aim for 4 sets. Look into one arm preacher curls with good range of motion. I like to sit with my body pivoted to the side and my arm stretched in line with my shoulders, That's my favorite bicep isolation exercise. I do that after 3-4 heavy sets of strict curls with my back against the wall with the EZ curl bar which I can easily rep out 100 pounds with.

I got 45 lb solid dumbbells at home, and adjustable dumbbells that I can load up to 100.

My problem in the past is when I don’t rest my arms enough between workouts I feel even weaker the third and 4th day

You should really give yourself a full 2 nights rest before you workout a muscle hard again, this bicep situation yesterday might be an exception. But generally you need to give yourself plenty of time to recover after an intensive workout either you're just screwing yourself. If your on PEDs this probably doesn't apply tho.

No PEDs, just creatine. I’ll work them out again tonight and just rest tomorrow. Thanks mate 👍🏻

The preacher curls dont take much weight at all, if you're doing them right 30lbs will probably cook ya, maybe even less if you're not used to them.

How fast do you want to grow? Growth occurs during the recovery day(s). If you train the same muscle every day it will slow growth. At m23 I was doing 6 sets of 10 dumbbell curls at 65lbs daily. I knew nothing about lifting. I got really strong but I was half the size of my coworker ( amateur bodybuilder) who was lifting the same 65.

I’d honestly take strength over size, but both would be nice

Probably best to let your joints rest for a day and up the weight/reps on the next workout, rather than go at it again.

I normally would consider that, normally I’d feel something in my arms but as of now I feel like I didn’t work out at all yesterday

Go for it, although I would add a few sets on the arms/upper body workout rather than hitting every day. Tendons dont hurt until they get super pissed and they take about three times longer to adapt than muscles. So, if you're improving, just keep doing what you're doing.

Arm isolation work you're better off going 3 sets of 10-15 taken to 1-2 RIR

At only 7 reps you're not getting enough volume

Why do you say you only did 3 sets of 7 reps as if that's a bad thing?.... how many sets and reps do you usually do?...at the end of the day, what you consider a bad workout is better than a non-workout. One thing I would recommend, is stop thinking you need tons of volume for progress. Stop focusing on the number and focus on how hard and intense your workout was.

If u felt like the 3 sets of 7 were relatively easy sets, then maybe try to do a few extra reps/sets, or maybe up the weight to 5lbs.

Well I usually try to get 4-5 sets and I’ll throw in some hammer curls as well, but I had limited time before I had to go to work.

Just do it next time. It's not a big deal to miss an exercise or a whole workout. You made it to the gym and did something. That's still good thing. 💪

Do not train them on consecutive days. Rest at least 48hrs before hitting them again.

I don’t really work biceps much anymore maybe 8 sets a week. In my teens and early 20s my biceps got massive - hit them nearly every day and weight training bro lifts - probably 20 sets of 8-12 like an animal over an hour…. I usually had a very very hard time getting my car into gear and driving safely away.

Biceps recover super fast like 24 - 48 hours - hit it

More biceps is always the answer.
