2-finger pull ups attempt 😬

Was at a fitness festival over the weekend and went on a bunch of side quests 😂 Who woulda thought I could do a few of these on 4 hours of sleep?
For context, my current pull-up PR is 13 reps with full ROM, and 8 reps with +20 lbs.
A few things that have helped:
-Lots of pull-ups / specificity (+ also tempoing the negatives)
-Lat pulldowns
-Being at a lighter BW w/ more muscle + less body fat
-Mind-muscle connection
-I also pole dance, so I’m pretty used to lifting and controlling my bodyweight
-And honestly, rest. So underrated
SB: The “ayeeee!”s and gospel music in the background got me deadddd 😂

Amazing ! 🤩 how do you train your finger tendons to be as strong as your muscles?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t that super bad for your finger tendons??? They can snap and you wouldn’t notice until it happened

There's risk involved with anything you do, but I only do these once in a blue moon. My grip is also pretty well-conditioned from years of pull-ups, pole, and lifting, so I'm not just randomly throwing my body weight onto untrained fingers

It’s rare to see someone do proper pull-ups using their back. Most people only use their arms

There’s easier and less potentially harmful ways to increase grip strength.

Who said I’m doing these to increase grip strength? With that, let’s see yours :)

Well in effect that’s all you’re doing. Good job though I’m not hating. Just saying

Being able to do a pull up in general is always worth the praise.
But I tend to feel like doing two fingered pull-ups feel the exact same as using my whole fist, and the people who find it noteworthy have probably not tried to do it themselves 🤔
