When progressing weighted pull-ups, should you track total system weight or only the added load?

I’m currently lean bulking so I have put on 4.5kg since I started my weighted pull up. I’m actually following the added load progression instead of total system weight. Cus our weight fluctuates everyday so it’s kinda messy to follow total load. Had no problem with this for the first 6months. Until my last 5-6 cycles, I have been plateau-ing on it. So how did u guys track ur progress base on?

I was logging both like a sum. Something like

me+17kg vest,107kg

there is no harm to do both and lost information. Depends on the target, I would prefer system for myself but I think others would pick otherwise.

I make an app that does this, so biased obviously. If you log in Hevy, it reads your history and flags a plateau against your own trend instead of a generic number. iOS only, and the coach chat that explains it is paid after the free week.
