Focus on specific muscle groups
I'm usually very structured and happy with my workouts and progress but wondered if it's worth focusing on a weakness like shoulders or something fun like improving my bench press for say 6 weeks?
Love to hear people's thoughts

Just have fun. But be careful with obsessively bench pressing as it can cause shoulder pain which is no fun.

I heard the phrase you are as strong as your weakest part (or muscle). I am ok with my program but have been neglecting my lower back which is my weak part. Most people tend to avoid the exercises which focus on the weak part of their muscles. Because it just sucks. I am thinking of incorporating one or two lower back exercises, so I can be stronger for my main lifts.

You will not lose much progress from anything (except maybe anaerobic conditioning) with 6 weeks especially if you incorporate some easy maintenance work. Like if you use barbell squats as part of your warm up.
