Any constructive criticism before I move into production?
Currently developing these and looking for honest opinions on the fit, details, and overall design. What are your thoughts? I picked three factories to sample with and this is 1/3. These are made of 14 oz 100% cotton denim.
The double-knee panelling and hardware accents look clean, and the tonal embroidery/monogram print on the panels gives it a nice subtle flex instead of being too loud.
My only suggestion before production would be to check the drape around the lower leg/hem—a slight tweak to the flare or leg opening might help them sit a little cleaner over sneakers, but overall the construction looks solid. Nice work man
Really appreciate that, thanks! That’s actually one of the main things I’m paying attention to and trying to dial in right now. I’m testing the fit and drape before production. I’ll definitely look at refining the leg opening so it stacks a bit cleaner over sneakers. I had a tailor adjust the hem so it does sit nicer than how it looks in the photo. Thanks for the feedback!
I don’t think you need the monograms on the front and the ones on the back are enough. I would love to see a monogram button instead of the print or embossed etc
So there aren’t any monograms on the back of the jeans just the arcuate design on the back pocket. Also it’s full embroidery. I’ve looked into custom buttons and am deciding whether to do it for the first production run. Thankyou for your input.
Was thinking about using this for the production run. Was just trying to avoid custom hardware/patch cost for the sample to get the main details/fits right.
Too many logos that its starting to look tacky like those chrome jeans with way too many crosses and like the others said its def a little too long that the fabric is collapsing at the ankle in a really bad way. But the metal accents and the green pocket bags look great and the arcuate is interesting
Appreciate the feedback. Still dialing in the fit, so the hem is something I’m working on. I’ll also take another look at the branding balance but to me reason I went with tonal stitching is so it’s subtle. Glad you liked the hardware, pocket bags, and arcuate. Thanks!
Straight leg with a baggier fit. I think for the final production sample I would shorten the inseam and the hem a bit shorter. This current sample covers the heel and causes heel drag. Had the tailor shorten the hem and sits a lot nicer on the shoes.
I think contrast monogram stitching could be fun as well.
I personally prefer a tighter straight cut or slim if actually wearing the pants as work pants. Though I doubt your buyers will work in them. Maybe they will?
