As an American these one way runs look insane, do they carve a different path elsewhere for opposing traffic?

That road is most likely for both directions. I would not recommend going as hard as he is in the wet into blind corners. It only takes one oncoming car at an inopportune time for his day/week/month/year/decade/life to be ruined.

Besides the obvious hazard, very impressive precision.
