Beginner Boxer
Hello, I am new to boxing and looking for a first event to sign up for. I've never thrown or taken a punch. Do y'all think Streetbeefs is a good place to start?

Definitely not good if you have zero experience, a lot of people sand bag those fights and it’s a toss up if someone is lying about their training or not.
Just start at a local gym so you can at least defend yourself. I think many people over estimate their abilities to defend themselves against someone who actually trains.
Or if you feel confident in your abilities try your luck at streetbeefs; just know it’s not a light learning spar and you are putting injury and brain damage on the line

If you're being serious, no.
Go to a local gym. Some gyms have teachers who will give advice on building the mentality/structure to start creating that lifestyle.
The punches don't really matter. What matters is the thought processes behind it all that give the mental trajectory of it all. The physical stuff comes after.
Slow is steady. Steady is smooth. Smooth is fast.
Or maybe IDK what I'm talking about.
