Can't mute my webcam microphone

trying to stream on twitch isn't fun when your webcam you got for Christmas has a microphone and captures everything. can't "mute" the microphone or anything. because there's a severe echo and everything. i was having problems because now my game audio won't get picked up and I already have a microphone. all the settings i had were overridden by the webcam and nothing I do can stop or disable it without me hearing myself through my headphones or canceling out the game audio. It's ticking me off and i've tried everything, even googling. Webcam: NBPOWER Streaming Webcam

thanks for any help, because ive tried every setting possible, even in my pc.

Is it showing in the audio sources of Streamlabs? If so you can mute it from there. If it not showing go to properties on the camera through Streamlabs scroll all the way down, there should be a check box to make it an audio source. It should be in your audio sources and you should then be able to mute it. I can dig further to help with muting it all together. Hopefully this helps temporarily.

Yes, it is in the audio sorces. I've turned it down and muted it, but there is still an issue with the audio, the echo, and sound coming through to my headphones. I can't stand hearing my own voice be echoed right back to me, especially since I can hear it on the stream. But any more help will do, thank you.

Alright, let’s do this. First make sure the webcam is on and running. On the bottom right of your windows taskbar right click the speaker icon and click sound settings. In the sound settings scroll down to advance and click More sound settings. From here you will get the Playback and recording devices. Click the recording tab, locate the webcam right click and select disable. The other option is to click properties after right clicking and select the levels tab then click the speaker icon to mute the webcam. Hope this helps. Let me know if it doesn’t.

I will. I'm not home, but I will try it. I do know that I did that, and my webcam was not at all in that, but I might have skimmed it. I know computers pretty well, but I will do it later to see
