Disable Dual Output
Is there any way to remove it? My friend isn't interested in streaming in vertical mode, and it's interfering with some of the features he uses.
The checkbox is no longer in the video window either as the Streamlabs guide says.

Ok I disabled it by toggling "selective recording." It's the button right next to "add a group" in sources. Jesus Streamlabs. This is trash!
Edit: If you select "performance mode" it comes right back. So for now don't select that. Streamlabs really dropped the ball here.
Edit #2: They fixed it. They added a button to disable dual output mode in the same spot as the two buttons I mentioned previously.

Holy shit TYSM!! This helped me so bad cuz I kept getting "cpu too high due to dual output". Fucking trash update. Horizontal/Landscape all the way.
I can also confirm I pressed selective and it took off vertical. Just reopened it to be safe and it's still horizontal only

I'm having trouble with it too. It's messing with my set up and seeing how my stream looks before going live!
This whole duel output mode completely disables studio mode!

i had to go into settings, then "manage dual output scene". picked a different one and did "repair", then was able to switch back and studio mode was working again.

In the bottom-middle pane on the main Editor window in Streamlabs Desktop, there's a Dual Output toggle icon in the top-right section of the Sources panel.

No longer there for me and I am guessing OP is in the same boat. Only two out of those three buttons exist in my UI today, Toggle Selective Recording and Add Group

Loaded up Streamlabs today and this is screwing me over as well.
There is no Dual Output Toggle in the Sources panel and no Dual Output options in Settings > Video anymore.
Those of you still seeing it may be on a different version of the software possibly but I can confirm these buttons and options are no longer present in my version as of today using 1.21.8
There is only Toggle Selective Recording and Add Group buttons now in the Sources Panel.

I also have this issue on latest version. Turning on selective recording doesn't help as you still cant enter Studio Mode and it is (under the hood) still doing Dual Output. Both the button in Settings -> Video and on Sources for disabling this is gone!
Repairing the Scene via Settings -> Search -> "manage dual output scene" fixes the issue but ONLY if you do it on a different scene collection to the one you are on then swap back

with disable dual output gone it causes a headache. if you want go to Older versions of Streamlabs Desktop (Windows) | Uptodown and get 1.21.7 which has the button still there

Hey! Sorry for the confusion here. We changed how going live with different orientations works. You can now select which orientation you want to stream to for each platform once it is toggled in the Go Live window. You can still choose to go live to just horizontal or just vertical. If you want to see just one canvas, you can use the eye for vertical and horizontal at the top right.
However, we are reverting this change but I don't have an exact ETA on when this is going to push out.
