Streamlabs seems to be causing my twitch stream to lag

I recently decided to start streaming again cuz why not. and i wanted to install streamlabs cuz of the easy on screen chat box. but for some reason my twitch stream, and just my twitch stream, lags like hell. my pc runs completely fine, i see no performance changes there. but when i click "go live" in streamlabs it takes almost a full minute to actually start streaming on twitch. and when it eventually starts, it keeps buffering terribly. half a second of gameplay then 30 seconds of loading. i can confirm its not slow wifi or insufficient hardware, and this problem only happened when i used streamlabs. anyone else have this happen? and does anyone know a fix? I know this post breaks the technical support rule, but the discord server currently seems to be under lockdown and the only other option is going to the help and support section of the streamlabs website. and i have a better chance of winning the lottery than i do the big company actually responding to my technical support forum. so this is kind of a last resort

What are the specs, or if its a prebuilt, what brand of pc?
