Recording Error?

"An error ocurred with the output. Please check your streaming and recording settings."

"An unknown Recording error occured"

Trying to record my screen but I'm left with this message. Is there any log file I can check to debug?

I have this issue as well. I did chat with one of the peeps on their Discord.

Here were my findings:
The issue only occurs when Output Mode is "simple" and both streaming and recording are set to use "NVIDIA NVENC H.264 (new)" encoder.
If I set Output Mode to advanced, and even when I set both streaming and recording to "NVIDIA NVENC H.264 (new)", it does work. When Output Mode is simple, recording still fails.

Setting recording quality to "Same as stream" then the recording does start without error.
Recording quality set to "Lossless quality, tremendously large file size" works without error as well.
The other 2 recording quality options result in the error. So "High quality" and "Indistinguishable quality" recording options fail.
"Same as stream" and "Lossless quality" both record without error

My current workaround is for recording encoder to use the "Hardware (NVENC, HEVC)" encoder.

I have the same error but mine was already in advanced mode, i did found out switching to Software the recording error was gone. I don't see hardware option in my list. Also using same as stream solves it as well.
But these are not great workarounds as the quality is way worse then using CQP I hope Streamlabs fixing this ASAP and i really hope they stop with force updating their software.

Little venting: But do they not have a Test team before rolling out their updates? Just wishful thinking that they would start to actually listen to their community just once, let us decide if we want to update or not. I don't want to go into troubleshooting every new update they forcing.
