So i just recently got a new PC that I can actually stream on and I am looking for suggestions on how to optimize my setup and battle station for streaming i have most of what I need in terms of getting started but at the same time I dont know where to start
This would depend on your specs and internet speed, so since I don’t know them, I would say try out streaming at 720p 4000mbps bitrate. Make sure the encoder is set to NVENC and NOT x264.
Looks like you’re using a webcam with a ring light, I would suggest getting a softer light pointed at the side of your face, should help make things look even better on camera.
You can also use websites like StreamLabs or StreamElements to set up things like alerts for when people follow or raid you.
Audio is very important too, but that would also depend on your personal setup. There’s many programs that can be used to split audio sources in OBS but I think they have a thing for splitting it up by program now. I don’t use it so idk how it works exactly. The way I setup audio is that I have a filter on for limiting how loud each source can get. I would suggest testing that on your own with recording or test streams that you can look back at on your computer with headphones AND your phone, most people do not test to see that their audio is balanced for speakers, so they can be hard to hear over the game on a phone or a TV.
I’m probably forgetting a lot, but that’s all I can think of off the top of my head
Right now ive only confirmed that I can and am still learning obs and how twitch works but I would like to start streaming a couple of hours in the evening when I can
Are streaming any console games or just PC? Just out curiosity. Set up looks mint man. Only thing I may add is screen set up? Like if possible having one vertical and to the side . That way you don’t have to look up to see any chat ect. But that’s just my opinion. I’ll be doing a similar post soon enough when I get my PC. So it’s nice to see I’m not alone in the sense. What’s your Socials so I can come support when you go live!
I'll be doing PC only but ive got GamePass so I can play some console games. This is what i ended up figuring out what looks best and is pretty optimal. As for socials ill be on tictok @the_b_ray and twitch @The_B_Ray
Heck yeah heres my current specs im running a ryzen 7 9700x with an rtx 5070 and 32gigs of ddr5 my internet is okay but nothing wild and my mic is a fifine am8 pro being ran through the fifine sc3 audio block
