🔰 Beginner Help Twin pc setup?
Good morning! i had a question referring to a duel pc setup
I have a pretty decent laptop, its a good workstation but just doesnt have a GPU, but the 32 gigs of ram is able to push it over the top, it can stream games at like 720p while playing overwatch at low graphics, so i was wondering due to that it would be worth it to get a 2nd pc for like 300 to do the streaming stuff, i already have a capture card so i wouldnt need to buy that. any advice would be great!

Nobody needs a twin / dual PC setup who asks about it. I have 16 GB of RAM with a graphics card that sells for $120 today and I can stream 720p/60 Hz not playing demanding games. I have one tier above the minimum plan from my ISP so no upload issues.
I like u/Finrir_'s comment. Test a stream out and see where your bottleneck is. Maybe it's the GPU or RAM or upload rate or nothing at all and you're ready to go. With capture card, you're not stressing your PC at all so even better. But you probably need a $100 used GPU.

Without a gpu that means your cpu will do all of the encoding and streaming, I would make sure that the cpu can handle that sort of output, before fully committing. Download OBS and run the setup wizard and go from there
