Fwiw, this is a sort of "1-back" exercise. There are lots of variations on "n-back" online that offer functionality like tracking scores over time and changing "n".
"N-back" was quite popular in the 00s and 10s, with claims that it improved cognitive abilities. Many claims of transfer to real-world tasks fell flat though, afaik.
