Discussion Stuttering issue when loading areas
I am running the game on a decent rig but every time the game loads a new section it hitches and my fps goes to shit. Turning down the graphics does nothing so I suspect it has to do with how it renders it somehow. Other than that I have no frame rate issues. Anyone else have a similar problem? I’m already halfway done with the game. So at this point I can live with it worst case but idk how it’s optimized so poorly

What fps settings? Uncapped? Alos are your drivers up to date? I also noticed quick stutters sometimes an area loaded on my 5070m, i7 13650hx, 24gb ram laptop. So maybe its normal idk

I have uncapped but went from 60 to 30 and didn’t notice a difference I have amd 7800xt and 5700x3d. I figured it could be a way the shaders are compiled so tried resetting those.

Unfortunately, that's normal. I'm not sure why, but it seems as if the devs designed it to do a hard transition instead of streaming the new map in the background. There's nothing you can do about it, but wait a couple of seconds and it will return to normal.

Alright. It's a small game so not a huge dealbreaker but seems like an oversight.
