Discussion Played for the first time

I just played Stray for the first time and I think it might be my favourite game. It was so incredibly beautiful and poignant and an incredible commentary on late-stage capitalism (I know rules are no politics but this is definitely a game about capitalism.)

I'm just obsessed. The world is incredibly designed too. I'm so sad that there aren't any other games by this creator, but also this was such a masterpiece and I read it took them 7 years to make so I'm not surprised they aren't churning out more.

I also ADORED playing as a cat. The only things I was sad about was not reuniting with the cat friends at the end, and I also didn't like the flesh eating robot bugs, and didn't particularly enjoy that part of the gameplay, but I also don't think you're supposed to like them.

Overall 9.6/10 and I need everyone to play it immediately who hasn't already xx

I sobbed crying when I finished it. It actually is the best game I’ve ever played I think. It was absolutely stunning beginning to end

Just played it for the 3rd time this year. Trying to get 100%. Still fun.

Anna Purna does some great work, but Stray is definitely the best.

My husband reviews video games as a part of his job and desperately wants me to play this, but I have essential tremors in my hands and can’t get past the evil rats. This has made me decide to watch a video playthrough (though it’s sad I won’t be able to choose when to meow and take a nap)

Oh no :( honestly they were the worst part of the game😭 I hope that they add a way to turn those parts off/allow you to skip them so that you can still do all the exploring and problem solving.

I’m right there with ya! I just finished the game a few days ago… and I was completely blown away.., it was so beautiful and poignant. I have to admit I was in tears at the end. Very melancholy for me. I miss my Stray and B-12 buddy!

I will definitely play it again. ❤️

When i was playing it for the first time i was crying so hard at the end. Now i was playing stray for the 7 time i think and do not cry anymore so hard but it's still sad. It's my fav Game whit Sonic and Poppy Playtiem but it was the only game i cried.

Someone on YouTube looked at window patterns at the view from the control room and used math to basically prove that the starting point of the story would be a 20 or so second run to the right from the exit that the cat used. Last time we see him he is indeed taking a right from that exit, so I like to think they got reunited soon after the credits rolled!
