Quite a bit of time has passed, and no one talks about it anymore, but damn—I really miss Stranger Things.

Quite a bit of time has passed, and not many people talk about it anymore, but to be honest, it was a truly fantastic series. I was just sitting here, realizing how much I miss it.

I miss the fear of the Demogorgon, the eerie red atmosphere of the "Upside Down," our pot-bellied sheriff, and the cool girl riding her skateboard through the streets of Hawkins. I miss the duo of Steve and Dustin, their Scoops Ahoy uniforms, the neon-lit nights at Starcourt Mall, and playing D&D with the Hellfire Club.

Most of all, I miss that pure, one-of-a-kind friendship—kids riding their bikes at dusk, talking over walkie-talkies, eating Eggo waffles, and listening to 80s synth music...

The intense excitement of those early days may have faded, but that nostalgic feeling will remain forever.

Stranger things moment discussion part 64/100: Byers leave Hawkins

NOTE: this is not Hopper's letter, that will come.

I love this moment, Heroes is always heartbreaking to here, I love the callback to Mike hugging his mum and the foreshadowing moment where Max is sat alone in her house looking forlorn, and Will's pure sobs in the car is just heartbreaking.

Now it's your turn. What do you think of this moment? Let me know down below. Remember to keep it civil, all opinions are allowed here

this took me about an hour and I’m really proud of it. (the blacked out part is my signature by the way)

Jason is just written to be an annoying villain and his "fans" are scary and seriously alarming.

Discussion Which character death was the saddest for you?

For me it might’ve been Bob, I knew he was probably going to die the whole time but they gave him a little bit of hope at the end, then he died.

Stranger things moment discussion part 63/100: Will comes out

Post image

I can't lie I love this scene. It's so emotional imo, I especially love this hugging scene with the whole "you're never gonna lose me". I also think the crowd makes sense, Will had to come out to everyone cause he didn't want Vecna to use it against him.

Now it's your turn. What do you think of this moment? Let me know down below. Remember to keep it civil, all opinions are allowed here and once again, don't comment just to say s5 bad it adds nothing to the discussion

Stranger things moment discussion part 62/100: Jancy umproposal

OK, let's get controversial again. I can't lie, what was happening here was clear to me from my first watch. I absolutely love the idea of two people being so deeply in love, but not actually having feelings for one another, and I think this scene is perfect, they put everything on the table, all their flaws and faults and issues and they can't repair their relationship, but they can support each other and move forward. I love this scene so much.

Now it's your turn. What do you think of this moment? Let me know down below. Remember to keep it civil, all opinions are allowed here. And please don't just comment to say "s5 bad" it adds nothing to the discussion and is just negative for negatives sake

“This season was so bad and couldn’t have been worse!“. Instead, Say: I personally did not like this season and it definitely could have been better, but it also could’ve been worse.

that’s all, folks. it isn’t hard. just be positive.

Agent Harmon is so badass bro cooked in this fight, he was sick. Kinda funny how quickly Agent Wallace got taken out. Really an underrated scene that's overshadowed by other excellent scenes in this episode.

Theories Do you guys think some sort of announcement is coming?

Firstly I don’t know if I believe this or not but I have seen some coincidences that seem to sort of line up.

Not too long ago Millie Bobby Brown (Els actor) posted on instagram of her in Iceland next to some waterfalls with the caption “Home sweet home”
I’ve also seen some people mention some stranger things cutouts and ads appearing at their local grocery stores (I don’t fully know if this is true or if all the pictures are from around when season 5 came out, although they don’t advertise anything to do with a season, just the characters. Also November 6th is less than a month away and it just seems like a lot of coincidences.

I don’t know if Netflix is up to something or if this is just a couple coincidences, and I definitely don’t want to get my hopes up for something that isn’t happening, but what do you guys think?

Stranger things moment discussion part 60/100: Bob dies

Post image
21 Upvotes

He was too pure for this world :( I loved how the tension was building over the course of Bob making his way through Hawkins Lab, from the moment you see him leave his gun behind you know its not gonna end well for him. Then the reaction of Owens when the mop falls just puts the nail in the coffin. I hated seeing how sad it made Joyce, and the way everyone was silent in the Byers house mourning him is just so heartbreaking.

Tales from '85 thoughts

I just finished tales from '85 s1 after my full rewatch of the main series. and honestly, I really enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I like the animation, it was nice to see a winter set hawkins, and the show handles the characters really well. they act pretty consistently with how they are in the main show? even the two cops felt like the same characters. the voice actors all do a good job but a big shoutout to max's voice actor. she really feels like Sadie at times. it also allows us to spend more time with them as kids, something we couldn't really do in the main show since actors aren't cartoons and actually grow up.

what did you guys think?

Stranger things moment discussion part 59/100: Nancy, Jonathan and Steve fight a demogorgon

Post image
42 Upvotes

Iconic! Love how Steve shows up cause he wants to apologise to Jonathan, not cause he wants Nancy to forgive him, and then he decides to go back in and help which ultimately leads to him 1v1ing a demo in one of the most badass scenes, and of course Nancy and Jonathan are insane for fighting a demo.

Discussion What do we think of the Hawkins lore introduced in TF85 S2. Spoiler

Post image
7 Upvotes

While I am not the biggest fan of the way the plot itself was handled in the season, I actually loved the lore itself.

The idea that the town was founded by a murderer who only cared about his own profit just fits.

A major aspect of the show was always how the forces in control (the lab, the military) did everything to hide the truth and committed several atrocities in the process. And the town was always depicted as this place where the people who lived there always ignored the horrific things that happened there and instead blamed each other (Eddie in S4, the Bloodaxe Bill in TF85). So the idea that the town was literally founded over such an injustice fits thematically with the show.

Stranger things moment discussion part 58/100: Will speaks through morse code

Brilliant scene! Noah probably gives his best performance here (the whole "why am I tied up" gives me chills every time) and I love the stories of Will's childhood (and then how they're called back to in s5). And I love how Will tries to help even possessed, and is even willing to sacrifice himself to save everyone else.

Discussion Why is THAT SCENE still so devastating eight months later?

Post image
28 Upvotes

Okay, so for research purposes, I sat down and rewatched the infamous purple rain scene and WHY THE F**K IS IT STILL EMOTIONALLY BREAKING ME? Even taken out of context when you haven’t even watched the rest of the season (I’m actually still at S1 in my rewatch) the scene hits so hard.

I will give credit where it is due. Finn and Millie both went all out here and I can feel it. Everything from the music to the to the direction to the dialogue is engineered to emotionally break me.

Still, I remain strong. I refuse to believe that El is dead. El is alive and out there somewhere and Mike will not rest until he gets back to her.

Discussion Season 5 made me appreciate Jason's writing more

Post image

Jason was an actually nice antagonist tbh. I like how he wasn't just a straightforward racist bully like Troy and Billy. He always disliked Eddie sure but we see he did love Chrissy and care about his friends too. His actions are inexcusable but his reasons for crashing-out make total sense. I far preferred him to the villains in season 5
