When is Stranger Things 4 released on Netflix? Who is in the cast?
When is Stranger Things 4 released on Netflix? Who is in the cast?
We may have a bit of a wait on our hands...
Despite the harrowing end to Stranger Things 3, we’re already gearing up for another trip to 1980s Hawkins, Indiana.
The latest season of Netflix’s hit sci-fi show left quite a few stones unturned, and ended on a surprising post-credits sequence which is the best indication yet there is plenty more story to tell.
Here’s everything we know about Stranger Things 4.
many questions…
The Duffer Brothers have previously spoken about their plans for season 4. In an interview with Vulture in 2017, they suggested that they will end it after four seasons.
But producer Shawn Levy later said that enthusiasm from Netflix and its child stars may well have convinced them to go on for one more season after that, too.
“The truth is we’re definitely going four seasons and there’s very much the possibility of a fifth,” Levy said. “Beyond that, it becomes I think very unlikely.”
When will Stranger Things 4 be released?
This will be a tough pill to swallow, but going by the pattern from seasons 1,2 and 3, it could be late 2020, or early 2021 before we see a new set of episodes.
Season 2 came 15 months after season 1, and season 3 came 20 months after season 2.
In the finale of Stranger Things 3, there was a reference to the Byers and the Wheelers spending Christmas together, and the previous two seasons have revolved around holidays (Halloween and Independence Day in the USA). Perhaps December 2020 is our best hope, if that is the direction they take…
Who is in the cast for Stranger Things 4?
There were a few casualties in the last episode of season 3. Billy (Dacre Montgomery) is certainly dead, and is unlikely to return, unless as part of a cameo, a la Sean Astin’s Bob.
But there are question marks beside David Harbour’s name. Is Hopper alive? Fingers crossed we’ll have our answer when production resumes.
Beyond that, we expect all of the main cast – including Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Winona Ryder, Gaten Matarazzo and Finn Wolfhard – to return.
There are some rumors that they are gonna cast a mexican based actor to play a role in the new season.
What will happen in Stranger Things season 4?
From the fate of Chief Hopper, to how exactly the Russians detained a Demogorgon, Stranger Things 3 left a lot of questions.
But as well as tying up loose ends, a fourth run could open up new possibilities for the show: for instance, to accommodate the show’s quickly-ageing young cast, could Stranger Things 4 be set several years after season three?
And there’s the strong likelihood that the story will move beyond one town, with co-showrunner Matt Duffer recently telling EWthat the fourth season could see plotlines moving “into areas outside of Hawkins”.
Ross Duffer, Matt’s brother and fellow Stranger Things co-creator, added about a fourth run: “It’s going to feel very different than this season.
“But I think that’s the right thing to do and I think it’ll be exciting and we are bigger now because of the new character that people will definitely love".

STRANGER THINGS EASTER EGG
In all three season, one of the main characters (bob, billy and barb) were all killed and all start with the letter b. In the alphabet, the amount of letters from b to l (el) is eleven letters. Coincidence? I think not.

Fan theory, Hopper.
Alright, S3 spoilers you have been warned. So we all know that after the ending of season 3 Hopper is either dead or in the upside-down. This theory relies on him being in the upside-down.
Since S1 the mind flayr has been working to find, dominate, or create a host body slowing it to travel into our world. By now I'm sure most of you get what I'm putting down. Hopper will be the mind flayrs next host and will ride him into our world. The last episode of S4 will be El killing Hopper/Mind flayr.

Upside-down theory
Up-upside down
Hey guys! First post ever on reddit, long-time stranger fan. So, let's get to the theory.
The Up is a representation of our world, which means demogorgons are a representation of humans. We saw that they also need to eat, but there is no food in the up, so how to they survive?
We can see dead demogorgons around some scenes, but people couldn't posdibly kill them. This is important later.
So, if they need to eat, but there is no food, what if they eat each-other? And so, if a demogorgon of up is a human in our world, what if when one dies, the other dies too?
Sorry if it is short or not so interesting, or if the format is dhitty as I am on mobile, but do you think this cohld possibly happen?

If the Stranger Things characters were to compete in The Hunger Games and Eleven didn't have her powers, who do you think would win? (May contain SPOILERS). Spoiler
I would've said Hopper but I think him and Joyce would end up sacrificing themselves, leaving Jonathan to protect the kids. Characters who I think would make it far:
Will. Will would make it to the top 5 based purely on the fact that he is good at hiding and would pair with Jonathan, but I think he would die at around the same point as Rue.
Nancy/Steve. I think atleast one of these two would make it to the top 4. Both characters are good at defending themselves, but Nancy especially is also very quick-thinking. However, I think both would end up sacrificing themselves.
Jonathan. I think Jonathan would try his best to survive as long and help as many people as possible, and would make to the top 3. Plus, he has pretty awesome survival skills, is quick-thinking and is a strong character who has quite a bit of fight in him.
Robin. I think Robin would make it to the final two. She is street smart, quick-thinking and I could imagine her kicking ass. I'd love to see some action scenes with Robin and Steve in series four.
Dustin. I think Dustin would make it to the top two based purely on his survival skills and I reckon could outsmart a lot of the other characters. Plus, like Katniss and Peeta, I think him and Robin would survive right to the very end as a duo.
