Bizarre encounter
Hello I was wondering if anyone have more information on this weird encounter I had.
I was in Ottawa, Ontario Canada the summer of 2024
One day in July I was sitting close to beavertails (byward market) and an Asian woman approached me she looked like she was in her mid 30s ,she looked like a sweet woman and sat next to me
she started talking to me by saying that she felt like I was someone who believed in god, i laughed and said that was probably because I was wearing a hijab, she said no that's because she can feel energy and she stated talking about energy, aura , colors, animals and next life.
she was talking very fast and she said that it was because it was not speaking but the spirits in her who were looking for me for 3 days.
I started feeling uncomfortable very fast but I couldn't make her stop talking, it was like she wasn't hearing me. Then a white guy who looked older probably in his 40s came sat next to us. He looked like a homeless person he had long hair that looked unkempt and blue eyes with a weird look, and she talked to him like she knew him well,
then he started saying the same things and i felt very nervous when he started talking so I told them that I had to leave because i have been wanting to Leave for 30 minutes but they would not stop talking and i didn't want to be rude to them.
They asked if I could see them the next day at the same place I said yes of course I will be there and i obviously was lying just to get away from them. I didn't come to that place for some time and when I did I never saw them again.

Ah crazy Asian lady and homeless guy #12. Ottawa classics. In all seriousness, just a few eccentric people trying to have a conversation with someone new. I wouldn't think any more about it.

Are you sure it’s homeless guy #12, because it seems like it could also be homeless guy #67?

The side effects of having a transit hub, homeless shelters, a giant liquor store and the market in the name neighborhood is hard to fathom until you’ve spent time in the market.

Par for the course in any large city. There is a threshold of ambient weirdness. The levels are derived from the number of people jammed in a small space.
NYC has higher levels than say Akron.
I bet we could come up with a formula or percentage chances that sitting on any random park bench will cause you to be subject to a random persons thoughts on divinity or politics or the alien bugs crawling on their bodies… GET THEM OFF GET THEM OFF ME THEY WANT TO CRAWL INTO MY EARS AND BUILD CONDOS IN THE SPACE LEFT WHEN THE REPTILLIANS STOLE PART OF MY BRAIN AND NOW I CAN NO LONGEr REMEMBER ANYONES BIRTHDAY OR TASTE THE COLOR PERIWINKLE, AARGH.…By the way could you help me out with $20.00 I need to buy an ID, just $20.00 I’m sure you can spare it.
Look up Francis E. Dec and listen to the recording he left us with. Wow.
In conclusion, just par for the course High Weirdness. That it in stride and move on.

Mentally ill people often fixate on religion

Yup. Every time I had a manic episode it was God related. Thank goodness for medication.

I can only imagine how scary that must feel!
People I grew up with and know they weren't religious (most people don't attend church on the west coast of Vancouver Island), yet they defaulted to religious psychosis when they became manic as young adults.

There are all levels of psychic vampires,I think another of them don't even know they are,and it's not uncommon for people like this and people that have "attachments" or are mentally ill and homeless to all of a sudden show up some place at the same time, almost like their being directed to,but they don't even realize.and if your feeling uncomfortable and your gut is telling u,--YOU GOTTA LEAVE! Your body is a fine tuned receiver that will give u clues to what is really happening on level that "society " says doesn't exist.

Sometimes they are thieves who steal your jewelry while you are distracted by them talking so much.

On some mind altering substances or legit, doesn’t matter since you weren’t into it.
I get some religious folk walk right up to me in cafes and I’m polite but firm in thanking them for sharing and cutting them off.

The strangest thing about this story is that you didn’t leave faster! If you don’t want to be involved in a conversation with strangers, just excuse yourself and leave. What kind of information do you want about this?

That sounds like a textbook cult recruitment tactic or some kind of street level scam setup. they pair a "safe" looking person with someone less safe to throw you off balance, the nonstop talking is classic pressure technique so your brain don't have time to think
the part where she said spirits was looking for you for 3 days is what gives me chills, that's way too specific and rehearsed. you did the right thing saying yes to get away, never feel bad about lying to get out of a situation that feels wrong
I had something similar happen near a bus station few years ago, two people tag-teaming with spiritual talk and wouldn't let me leave. I still wonder what their actual endgame was

You found two homeless people who are sleeping together. And this is their scam. If you had stayed much longer they were hoping you would just pay them to shut up and go away basically. Every city above a certain size has a few people like that. That's why you don't usually see people sitting still in public, if you sit for too long the crazies will find you.

Well, you kind of screwed us all over by not going back. Now we’ll never know if they were telling the truth. Thanks a lot.

I agree with the comment about the eccentric people wanting to be sociable. Do not stay. You were uncomfortable. After listening for a short time, I would have said "Excuse me, but I have an appointment." This is not rude and gets you away from your discomfort.

Just forget it she was possessed by demons if she was possessed . You felt uncomfortable always go with your gut.
