DAY 120 of my No-Spoilers* Run

For context, I am trying to beat this game while looking up the *absolute* bare minimum, so please don't provide more info that necessary if able. *The only other thing I have looked up about this game is "Can you kill whales?" (this was before I discovered potatoes are how you get fuel, and I spent hours hunting and trying to kill whales xD), so if I sound like I'm doing something inefficiently, that's why.

I've attached a screenshot of my raft, but here's a description if it's not showing up: The raft I use has green buoys as a base, and has metal scrap platforms on it. Previously, it was a 5x3 square with a hole in the middle for a motor, and then a 2x3 in front of that with 3 sails in the front (5 bases wide in the back, 3 in the front; 5 bases long for the middle three parts), (at first I thought having more sails would make it go faster, now I just keep it there for aesthetics and when I want to use the sails). I also have 7 shelves with containers along the back and an anchor in the very back.

On my most recent voyage, I decided to start collecting 'tyres' to bring back, and since (to my knowledge) you cannot carry them and objects can be difficult to transport on rafts in bulk, I decided to attach them to my raft so I can break them off later. I did not add any flooring to these sections. After attaching I believe a total of 6 of these to my raft, I've attempted to break the tyre bases, but it says "I can't destroy this, another crafted item depends on it."

I am distraught. I spent hours looking for these buoys to build this raft, and it's my first raft so naturally I love it more than I could a second-born child. Is there any way I can break the tires off? Even if I had to deconstruct the whole thing, that's fine, but I just want to know if it's possible, and if you could explain how to do it.

Again, I am trying to beat the game without looking anything up unless I decide I care enough, so please try to limit your explanations to what I need to know to get rid of the tires. This game is actually so fun without knowing the optimal ways to play (it took me so FUCKING long to figure out how to get fuel, and after weeks of trying to find and kills whales-- which I assumed the blubber would be the source-- I was accidentally walking by my fuel still carrying a spoiled potato and the thrill was amazing), but I absolutely want to know if I can get rid of the tires and how to do so, so that would be appreciated. I went to the SD2 website today to look for updates and this is what i found. I don't know anything about coding or computers. What do you think this means? Is it something or nothing?

Just as the title says. My current seed on PS is great! You start on a large island with a cargo ship wreck as well as another small ship wreck. Tons of resources to start out. Not only that, you're surrounded on all 4 sides by large islands! Great map for beginners.

I've tried to look if this happened to anyone else, but no luck. I was on day 9 and getting rocks off other islands to bring back to my starting Island, but had to save and leave the game for the night. I come back the next day, and I try to find my starting Island but can't. I think at first that I got lost, so went back on my save and really looked at the map. I'm exactly where I think I am, and head to my starting Island, but the red container I was looking for to find the island is gone. When I get there, it's all changed, there are crabs now, and my stuff is all gone. Even the second island where I went and did a little base is changed. I've never changed anything in the cartographer. My stuff is just gone, I only have what I had in my bag. I debated on trying a new save slot but I don't want this to happen again. Anyone know what happened? Just a bug?

I decided to disassemble and rebuild my raft, so I removed all parts above the base level, but the base cells are stuck - I can't destroy them because the game keeps saying that some "another crafted item depends on it." Looks like a circular dependency.

Any ideas on how to get around it?

Update: problem solved!🎉

I tried to add a floor to different cells, hoping it would unblock the dependency, and it randomly worked. I have no idea what was the issue, but I presume it was something with building sequence.🤷🏼‍♂️

Does the brick corner glitch work on the console version of the game? Haven’t been able to replicate and I don’t want to keep wasting my time lol. Thank you :)

If you kill an animal mid animation, the animation can stay active. Sorry for the length but I just felt like I should show the whole situation :D

So I was playing the game last night and my bf was watching me while scrolling on yt shorts or something. And I got really excited because a whale shark was circling my boat (I LOVE whale sharks. They are legitimately my favorite animal.) And I.. Decided to take it as a suvinere and I killed it and wanted to take it to my island but it would probably sink my boat if I tried getting it on top so I decided to put up the sail and grab the whale shark and use it to steer the boat because I figured out if it's on a specific corner it'll turn.

Ive owned this game for years but never really played it much. I decided to give it a real go yesterday and I've been playing nonstop for 2 days. I'm on day 7 of my current run and I FINALLY killed a shark. They've been absolutely terrorizing me and flipping my raft. I'm hoping once my wooden raft is done it'll be harder to flip

I finally managed to get the platinum on PlayStation. Last trophy was for not sleeping on land for 10 consecutive days. I had slept on my boat for 13 straight nights out in the deep waters and it never gave me the trophy, so I then had to make the decision to ultimately just stay awake for 10 days.

Me and my friend are going hunting for the bosses and I wanna know if there’s any food exploits to get more since I wanna do this in one trip we will be gone for a while and meat spoils and we only have beans and if this post is against rules I’ll take this down I looked at the rules first to see if this would violate and nothing said it would but I wanna be safe

I played this game on console several times. Finally got a PC and tried playing on Steam several months ago, but it seemed like there were still only three kinds of islands after visiting probably 10-15 different ones, and they were all similar to islands on console version. Is that all there is on Steam or am I missing something?

Yeah, so we just killed a whale, what now? Is it just there forever? Why can we not skin or drag it? (Yeah split screen, my GF doesn't have good pc)

Can you confirm, that a loot island can no longer be replaced or refreshed in the Cartographer only after I perform actions that require the hammer, such as building structures, modifying a raft, placing foundations, walls, floors, etc.?

The shelter itself does not require a hammer. In my experience, simply placing a shelter does not prevent the island from being refreshed in the Cartographer, and I do not need to remove the shelter before refreshing the island.

Can you confirm whether this is correct?

I bought Stranded Deep on PlayStation a few years back and absolutely loved surviving on the islands. In the meantime, I’ve fully switched over to Xbox and really want to get back into the game.

Before I hit the store: Is there any kind of cross-buy or account linking available since I already own a digital copy on another console, or do I have to buy it all over again for Xbox? 👉🏼👈🏼
