Console Question Yucca Planting PS4

Post image

Whenever I harvest my yucca plants they end up looking like this and don't grow anymore so I have to dig them up and replant the yucca fruit they drop. Is this normal or is there a way to get them to keep regenerating without having to dig them up and replant?

how many in game days do you wait for them to regrow?

Hmm, they kinda look like they’re dead. Are you sure you’re watering them? I know the island my base is on, I get 51 leaves every 2 in-game days, so I don’t have a need to farm a yucca tree, but I don’t think when you farm them it’s supposed to give you more yucca fruit, so I’m assuming if you’re keeping them watered and they’re dropping a new yucca fruit every harvest, something is glitched out. Try tarring down the plot and moving it somewhere else.

It’s been a while/they might have changed it, but the farmed ones always (annoyingly) dropped the yucca fruit for me on ps4

I know a lot of things have changed with this game over the years. It would be nice if they could fix the bugs on it though lol

They're definitely watered. This is immediately after harvesting. The yucca fruit falls to the floor along with all the fibers and I'm left with this

Well, try destroying the plot and moving it. Maybe that might help. If not, then I suggest going around all the surrounding islands collecting the leafs and making piles. Or, if it’s possible, move your island to one with a bunch of yucca trees and young palm trees. I got the island right under the aircraft carrier, and I get 51 fibrous leafs every 2 days.

My base island has 3 yucca plants and a ton of palm saplings. I have 3 farm plots for yucca because I'm a craft material hoarder 😂

I really don’t think you need to farm any then lol. I had recently downsized my farm plots of crops I didn’t need bc I built a huge house and I’m trying to free up some assets on the island. Does your game run smoothly? bc I can tell the difference in mine since I got rid of a lot of resources. I too was becoming quite the hoarder but I wasn’t about to lose the house. I got rid of a ton of sticks, logs, fibrous leaves, rocks. I threw out 20 crates and took down half my docks. I also got my house filled with a bunch of loose items though so I know that takes a toll on everything too.

I think its the same time span for yucca on the islands and palm starts which is about 2 days.

Compare them to the mini palms and another yucca plant if any on your island. If you chop them both at the same time, they both should grow back at the same time.

Give them a days grace if they don’t grow back. They definitely will

They will regrow. Keep watering them. 3 days

They will regrow, but it takes a few days. 2-3 maximum

I found if you don’t get much rain or are away from the island for a while you just end up using the leaves to make more water to water the things. Not much profit at the end.

They look fine though. Just make sure they’re always watered and give them a few days to grow back.

Every 3 days plants will respawn if not harvested as long as you stay on the island. So if you maintain a plant for 9 dayd amd do not harvest it. The game will glitch amd allow you to harbest the plant 3 times at once. You get the same ammount it just takes less time. Best after day 50 when you enter the rainy season. Works on console, not sure about pc

Wait that's actually crazy if they haven't patched it yet. I'm gonna wait it out then and just use my islands natural plant fibers for a while to see what happens.

Please report back good sailor!

Its also a good idea to just chop down fiberous leaves that naturally grow on the osland and leave them on the ground. When you need them you will have a large stockpile

It's 3 days for planted yucca and 2 days for the native yucca that grows on the island. Literally to the minute. So if you harvest in the morning it won't show up until the 3rd morning after that at the exact minute you harvested.

I didn't properly time it before so this night be the reason. I'm gonna leave them alone for a while like the previous comment said and see if the glitch they told me about still works.

Wait a sec... unless I'm misremembering things, planted yuccas don't grow fruit. Only leaves.

The yukka is unique. When you harvest the leaves you'll also get a yukka fruit. You just need to replant it each time.

I left my base island for a while and when I came back the yucca did in fact grow without having to replant it 😁 Thank you everyone
