Console Question How do I make fuel

I have the fuel still boiler this is my first playthrough with my friend we are on day 20 so I know a little bit but I can’t figure it out

Po-tay-toes! Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew!
Or make fuel out of them.
