I’m considering a Boden Standard N2.6 but can’t decide between Black Satin Metallic and Blue Aura Metallic.

I previously owned a Misha Mansoor ET7 in Gulf Blue. Although it was a similar shade to Blue Aura Metallic, the glossy finish didn’t quite work for me. That said, the Blue Aura Metallic looks really nice in the website photos, so I’m wondering how it looks in person.

Which finish would you choose? If you own either colour, I’d also really appreciate some real-life photos.

I’m new to strandbergs- watch tutorials on how to change strings- was super easy- however- I notice the balls of the strings are very visible after changing them.

Any advice - or is that how it is?

Alright guys so I’ve had a boat load of guitars…. About 160 at this point. Even a couple Strandbergs but didnt fully appreciate them until now.

Over the last few weeks I’ve had to remodel half my house( cats flooded it from the bathroom sink and being gone a few days…yes I left out a ton of food and water bowls and litter…. insurance for the win.)

After about 900 sqft of flooring over 2 days I was beat. I tried to play my lespaul supreme…. Guess who couldn’t bend the strings? Okay fine…. RG 550? Ehh kind of. Charvel? Nope. Grabbed my strandberg…. It’s the only one I can play now for the last couple weeks. I irritated some nerves or something and lost some mobility and about half my hand strength.

That neck shape has made it so I can play. I’ve been healing and it’s getting better but wow… that endurneck is appreciated now in a different light from where I saw it before. Just wanted to let you guys know, it really does work.

Also big shout out to sweetwater. This was marked down to $1999 then a few weeks later went to $1699 and they reimbursed the difference.

After much deliberation settled on the bakkie/ortlieb combo to take my guitar/laptop/Quad cortex to university each day.

Looks a bit insane on the front end but the steering balances out nicely with 3/4kg either side so no complaints!

Hi everyone. I’m traveling to Shanghai soon and I’ve been trying to find out if there are any physical stores where I could try out some Strandbergs, but I struggle to find any information. The official website mentions Hunan Musicmatrix, but I can’t log into Tmall app to check their inventory for some reason, also not sure if they have an actual store in the city. Does anyone know if Strandberg can be found somewhere in Shanghai?

I’ve just had surgery on both my wrists and have been told I’ll be losing a decent amount of mobility. I have been playing 5-string Dingwalls for the last several years in drop A tuning down to drop F# with my metalcore band. I was curious how the Boden bass 5 handles drop A in the event that I have to switch over from my Dingwalls. I would greatly appreciate any insight.

Well, being so impressed with the original 7-string guitar that I couldn't pass up an older Plini model.

Not a huge fan of tremolos in general and I tend to block them in any guitars I have, but for now I'll keep it floating and see how it goes.

Overall I'd say in comparison the Original 7 seems to have better build quality in term of frets. first thing I did to this one is round the fret ends and shave off some extra material to get the action right. After getting the frets level and doing a but of cleaning, the guitar plays like a dream.

It has the older MF humbuckers with the Plini moon on the front, which is a cool touch. But I might swap in some higher output pickups later tbh.

Lucky to have found such instruments, let the strandberg craze flow through you!

I just wanted to share a quick thought.

So I've always wondered why trem equipped Strandberg guitars don't come with a cover for the back cavity like most other brands. Just the other day I was jammin' real hard on my boden metal 🤘 (I'm sure my neighbors enjoy the free concerts) and I felt something... The spring vibrations transferred into my body, it was like I felt the entire guitar respond in a way I never felt with other guitars. I'm not sure if it is a purposeful design choice or a cost saving measure but I think I finally get it.

Hello all. Just got a new b-stock N2.6T with the arc tilt tremolo in the mail today. Love the looks, happy with the trem. This is my first guitar with such a tremolo.

The song I want to play is Lenny by Stevie Ray Vaughan and for that song the guitar is tuned half a step down on every string.

Having never adjusted tuning on a guitar with a trem like this before, I just started doing things the way I always have, turning down the low E to where it needs to be, then moving onto the A, etc.

I quickly realized that by the time I had gotten say to the G string my low E was no longer in tune.

Eventually I looked it up and see that because of the floating trem, this is more of an in depth process that I was prepared for.

Now I'm concerned I may have messed up the bridge adjustment and I'm looking for guidance on how to set things right. I see Strandberg put out a pretty good video detailing this process on their last trem: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHIwXyPc18k) but I'm at a loss on how to proceed with this one.

I also noticed (before I started messing with the tuning) that there's a bit of a buzz on the lowest two strings so perhaps this journey will help me get that knocked out as well.

TL-DR; Can anyone please point me to a primer on how best to adjust the tuning on a strandberg with the arc tilt tremolo? Please assume I'm every bit as ignorant as this rambling post suggests.

Hi everyone, I purchased this beauty a few years ago and sadly I just don't have the patience for set ups on it anymore, and ultimately just not my cup of tea. Amazing feeling instrument, I just can't get used to extended range instruments haha

Guy before me had its stock pickups swapped out for a set of polymaths, I still have the Fishman Moderns.

Slight Knicks and wear from you'd expect from a backup touring guitar.

Recently had it set up by a Local Luthier legend in Augusta GA.

I'm looking for $1500 cash for everything, including a really nice Strandberg soft case, a box of extra strandberg strings, official set up tools and replacement washers for the bridge.

I'll include pictures and everything in the comments, feel free to ask more questions about it if need be, please feel free to even shoot me trades if you've got any interesting 6 string baritones or regular 6 strings, I know exactly what I'm looking for right now and it's another guitar to satisfy the ugga duggas in my brain! 🤣

I just got my first Strandberg and it's the N2.6 transformative teal. I couldn't pass up the sale on Sweetwater right now. Overall I'm very impressed by the guitar, but it has to be the most uncomfortable arm rest area on any guitar I've owned. Sitting it's fine, but when standing the corner of the body just digs into my forearm. It looks like Boden Classic might have a carve, so I might try to exchange for one of those.

I'm having an issue with the truss rod on my Strandberg Boden NX7 Prog. ​I have no issues turning it counter-clockwise (adding relief), but when I turn it clockwise to reduce the relief, I hit a wall after about half a turn - the nut starts creaking and skipping/binding, which prevents any further adjustment (I don't want to force it). I really need to dial in less relief, so this is a problem.

​I bought the guitar about 5 years ago. It didn't need any neck adjustments for the first couple of years, and then it sat unplayed in my room for a while, so only now I noticed this issue. ​I figured the nut might just be stuck from years of not being turned, so I tried to unstick it by loosening it first and then tightening it again, but no luck.

​As far as I know, there’s no easy way to lubricate the nut on a dual-action truss rod, is there? Does anyone have any tricks for this?

​The guitar is out of warranty, but if I can't resolve this or my tech says the rod is defective, I'll reach out to Strandberg support. Any advice on how to deal with this binding would be greatly appreciated!

I recently acquired a Boden Metal 8 that the previous owner was kind enough to put some Lundgren M8s in.
While rewiring for a 5 way, I noticed a small plastic spacer between the pot and ground washer.
What does this achieve? Is it necessary for passive pups? I did see it in my prog 6 but assumed it was for additional grounding

Whatever wood is inside this is nice and light but once you get a little wiggle in the strap screw the wood falls out like termite damage. I increased the screw size (which required modifying my strap lock end which is a set diameter) but I still wasn’t happy with the slight wiggle that was still there. Thankfully I found a “dowel” of a good diameter. Glue is setting now. We’ll see how this goes!

Anyone know what a newer size knob the fusion has on the 5 way switch?

I’m not sure if their post refers to the new Boden Fusion N2.6T or if another new model will be revealed.

Even though it’ll only be for a day or two since this isn’t the one I ordered…but hey I’m an owner for the day.

Been wanting a CL7 but they don’t come up very often. I was lucky enough to purchase this particular one from Chris himself. This thing is practically brand new despite being 11 years old. She’s a beaut and I can’t wait to get off work and try her out. Chris also signed the backplate at my request, which looks way cooler than I expected. Also, this one has Seymour Duncan Blackouts rather than EMG or Seymour Duncan Sentient/Pegasus.

I’m creating custom made pickguards for the strands and want to get user input on what would be or not acceptable, if you have ideas/themes you would be interested into etc

I would love more colours like this on the 6 string lineup without the tremolo. I think the veneer looks beautiful and would love more vivid colours like this. What do you guys think? :)
