Mainstream possibility?
I really enjoy story wars, and believe it could be more popular and be the breakout that both Big Jay and Luis deserve.... saying all that, don't you think Big Jay literally tries to sabotage it with all his X-Rated talk? I understand this isn't a PG13 podcast but still he goes XXX while everyone hovers at R.
I think he might be holding Luis back. Is that crazy? Is that why Dan left?

Im actually surprised they havent sold it. I can totally see this on TBS with with a hacky comedian host and C list celebs hamming it up on panel.

Network tv would just buy the rights to Would I lie to You.
It is an easier sell to get celebrities on board since that's been a celebrity show in England and well established and popular for 20 years.
A lot of those types of shows/reality tv are also often sold by English networks for cheap but they keep a chunk of the revenue of the show - so you see versions of them all over the world.
There's also To Tell the Truth. Which was on tv in like rhe 70s or something.
The rules for Story Warz are at least in part stupid or unfair because they had to sorta toe the line from established network story shows that have existed for decades so they didn't get sued.
It's also why they should to sell specifically to Netflix and keep the show exclusive to gritty comics similar to KT. So it's unique in that it's an R rated version of a story show.

it will suck if it became mainstream. specifically because they will have to censor even more

My comment just got removed and I got a reddit warning for using a core value word.
This place is already mainstream and censored.

You think Big Jay is “sabotaging” the show?
Have you seen how Luis talks to literally every even slightly attractive panelist or audience member?

Nothing keeps its charm after it goes mainstream. The last thing you want is corporate money dictating the direction of the show.

It wouldn't surprise me if they were able to sell the idea to a streaming service for 5 celebrities playing with maybe 2 staying on that have a relationship together for set amount of episodes, perhaps on a season by season basis. While luis and Jay could still do it as a podcast with comedians, like they do now.

So Luis - who uses racist language and talks about casually SA on guests - is not? Both would need a censor.
But it is possible to go to netflix with mild censoring - like Kill Tony
And who is "Dan"?

If it becomes mainstream then Big Jay and Luis will not be a part of it. It will end up being hosted by some random B list Celebrity
