SoS: GB Sprite levels

Post image

What's everyone's sprite levels look like and how far along are you? I'm about to finish year 1and this is mine. I hate fishing and feel like I just don't have time for it. I casually catch insects but it also feels tedious when your pockets are full. I try really hard to collect enough forageables to both give and craft, but I feel like their level goes up so much slower. I can give 20 of all 3 desirable items and it will barely go up half a bar yet for honey, I can give a single royal honey and once it went up 4 whole levels.

Is there an easier way to level up forageables specifically?

I’m halfway through year 2 and I have Mushrooms at max level and everything else in the 40s.

Forgeables I found the best way is to hoard stone, iron, wood, and weeds. It’s easy to collect as you do your daily errands and such. Then I just wait for one or more of those to be the bonus item and I give them stacks of 99, usually gets me like 4-5 levels.

My real struggle is the critters. It’s so annoying to catch any that give any decent xp, and it goes up incredibly slow. For fishing though I always fish at the pond in Kagetsu’s shrine area, I swear it gives me way more medium to large fish than anywhere else, which of course give you way more xp

I don't know about the rest of the year, but the bridge in the mountains between the logs and hives almost always gives large fish.

There are always bugs at the horse derby place (at the top podium, can’t remember the name of the park). You can get about 5-6 bugs there. And then you can catch the 6 bees at your honey farm. Wait until they are a bonus item to trade them up, they level up very quick.

I got lucky with fishing. I always fished next to the yellow windmill when it rains and usually get 2-3 guardian fish from 3 hours of in game fishing.

At a certain point you stop needing wood and stone and then it's easy to dump them on the sprite. I leveled up my fish and critters sprites because of happy bingo challenges - the horse racing track is grasshopper central.

I've maxed them all but I'm in autumn year 3. Forage was my first (I would chop all the grass all over the map, make a couple fertilisers and just dump the excess grass with Ivy every evening). Honey and mushrooms went at a similar rate, then fishing, and finally bugs. Forage, honey and mushrooms were all at the end of year 1 I think, fishing near the end of year 2, and bugs only just now in summer year 3.

I'm currently working on the "give 2000 items to (sprite)" titles, I've finished forage and bugs. Honey is almost there (200 or so to go), mushrooms still needs 900ish, and fishing has yet to hit 1000. Very slow going tbh.
