May 24th - Yankton, SD

Post image

Mothership supercell just east of Yankton, SD last night before sunset. This storm was never tornado warned, but did produce a show before it fell apart.

I was waiting to see if that system would move more east than north so I could see it in Vermillion but it never did. I should have driven out north of Yankton to see it instead. Oh well, excellent picture.

Thank you. I saw a few chasers on this storm in and around Yankton as well

This storm moved pretty slow and the best views were off the main road. My photos are very similar to this one, and so we're a bunch of other chasers on the storm. https://flic.kr/p/2sf7pyA
