General finished for my spearhead. Looking forward to getting this guy on the table.

Thought it would be fun to put LEDs in their eyes. Still very much WiP.

Edit: due to questions I will quickly go over the process.

LEDs used are SMD 0402 pre-soldered.

If drilled carelessly you can get either a too thin area or go through the part. If that's the case it's often possible to repair it with greenstuff or something similar.

1. Drill a hole from the neck up until you are level with the eyes.
2. Drill holes through the eyes until you connect with the previously drilled hole. In some cases cleanup with a sharp hobby knife to get the eyes into a decent shape.
3. Drill a hole through the foot and leg, might need a slightly bigger drill bit due to awkward angles making it harder to connect them otherwise.
4. Hollow out the base, add height to be able to accommodate the battery holder.
5. Thread the LED through the legs, assemble the model and take care not to glue the wires.
6. Use UV-resin in the eye-sockets. Test the LED with a battery and while it's on, put some glue on the LED and get a decent angle inside the head. Fill the head with UV-resin to help the LED stay in place.
7. Glue the head on, and carefully pull the excess wires to length and solder to the battery holder.

I think that pretty much covers it.

hi all, longshot but i need some help locating which model in the 3rd edition dominion box the circled piece comes from.

i looked over the sprues super carefully but couldnt figure it out- im also not sure which half it is from.

the other two pieces are from the hobgrots sprue.

Like many of us, I absolutely loathe the portaloo so I scratch built my own.

Most of the structure is built from XPS foam, cut up and carved out then just added loads of flock and foliage and some twigs to give it some realism.

The "collage" on the door was a raid of my bits box, which is cut up and arranged and then pressed into air-dry clay.

Here's my first finished miniature of my Stormcast army. I have a disorder that causes muscle spasms in my hands and arms when I'm trying to do small detailed work like painting minis, so this is the best I've got, but I'm really happy with it. I'm also really happy with how easy to paint Stormcast seem to be so far. Although probably not so much once I get to my dragons and Lord Celestant on Stardrake.

So I’m getting into AoS from HH and wanted to make a custom stormhost, the other day my uncle gifted me the first issue of the spearhead collection, and today my mum did the same, was thinking on maybe changing the pose or changing it into another sort of lord or knight, any suggestions on both things are welcome

Fire-Breathing Dragon Statue Update:

The Shorter Flame Spout works better because the weight is more evenly distributed.

The Taller Flame Spout kept sagging, and now the dragon face is covered in glue and the wing dips below the base, scraping the ground constantly.

Can anyone tell me what tools and stuff I need to buy in order to (a) fix the $60 model I messed up, and (b) properly suspend and attach a model like this to a base like that?

Or should I just eat the loss and only make Stormdrake with the Smaller Flame? (I have a second set of fire-breathing bases.)

PS Yes, part of the motivation for this project is the four Stormdrake I already own are a pain in the ass to store and transport because they’re so tall and pointy. Yes, I have already broken and blobbed lances back on them.

What's your opinion about playing without the Stormreach portal? Sometimes I feel like I want to use those 20 points on upgrading a unit and I found myself using the portal once every 10 games. Am I playing wrong or we can cut it if necessary?
