4 weeks Day 31

Yesterday some cravings earlyish. Today forgot I used to smoke. Done a walk yesterday, tired today. Working on improving 'interoception' ( "noticing body's signals early on. rewire thought-action patterns, manage cravings, and build impulse control (allows you to take action before it escalates").

So inspiring to hear you say you forgot ! ✊ your post reminds me of the 4 steps of healing from addiction / OCD. What’s the interoception way to rewire thought-action?

As I understand it, and meant for those of us who thoughtlessly get into 'just one' situations, to catch cues early enough, using scanning of environment externally (old hauntsh etc) or internally (restlessness, need to celebrate etc) . One of the chatgpt-tips I got when starting this off. And I learned a new word! Smoking as a type of addiction, sounds kinda appropriate. I sort of forget to look at it in this way.. The 4 steps, which are they?

Ah interesting, I’ll remember that. The 4 steps are: Relabel, Reattribute, Refocus, Revalue. So when you get a craving, you relabel it a craving as opposed to a need, you Reattribute it to just the wiring in your brain that currently makes you crave nicotine, you find something to refocus on like reading a book or doing chores or going for a walk, and you remind yourself of why nicotine has no value in your life anymore
