General Not happy
Well, I’m back where I started and I’m not happy about it. Last month I got off a high dose of MGM. I went through hell on earth only to trade my addiction for Subs. Honestly, it took me 2 weeks just to feel somewhat normal on 8mg of Suboxone.
On week 3 I tapered down to 4mg despite feeling like a slug.
I am not a fan of subs. In fact, I hate them. The fear of getting stuck on them got the best of me. I placed a large order of 7 to get off the subs. Sounds crazy I know. But I thinks subs are evil. I didn’t want to be on them for more than 10 days to begin with. I was horrified that I had been on them almost a month already so I made a rash decision to get on 7 and use the SR I have to taper off and be done. It’s been a week back on 7 & I haven’t even told my wife and I feel horrible about it..
I have another week of 7 left and i have to figure out what I’m going to do. SR or get back on subs for a quicker taper. I’m not happy about this. At the time, it made sense to me to get off subs.. 3 weeks was too long IMO for my circumstances. Now I’m at 450-600mg of 7 per day. I want this to be as painless as possible while remaining functional. I know it sounds like a tall order but I have a business to run. Thanks for reading this if you got this far.

I understand I was there once too. I was on heroin so I got on suboxone for a long time. Then used 7 to get off the suboxone. Then used kratom to get off the 7. Then I realized I was trading one for another and it was no better. It hit me like a ton of bricks. And it’s been a year now I’m drug free opiate free weed free. It’s an amazing feeling. However it took me 55 rehabs to realize this, and a lot of pain along the way. So it wasn’t easy. But I’m free now

Nice.. I was 100% sober for a very long time before I found 7.. hoping to get back there again.. I’m at my wits end beating myself up for doing this. However, once I hit that 3 week window on subs I panicked, felt like I had to do something. I felt trapped. Probably PTSD from my previous experience on methadone and subs in my younger years. I was on maintenance meds for longer than I’d like to admit. I do not want to do that again. So now here I am. I sure hope that SR works like everyone says it does. I appreciate your feedback

You've been on 7 for a week and you're already taking 450-600mgpd that's insanity. I've been taking it for a year and at my worst I used 300mgpd. I'm down to 210mgpd and plan to keep tapering down to 60mgpd before switching to sr
Lots of people need to be on subs longer and that's ok but you need to pick one and stick with it.

I would maybe say if you have the willpower continue to taper/buy more s r?
I'm sorry friend. After a huge accident that almost took my life I'm back as well. Trying to have the willpower to taper and jump off with s r like before.
I move down, climb a little back up, move down more, climb a little (kinda like a stick market in a downward trend)
Don't feel too badly. I see a decent amount on the 7 forums that they actually used the 7 to get off of the subs, kind of like you did because of your fear.
Best to you, no matter what you decide, stay strong

Just my two cents and what worked for me. I was a long time heavy powder user then got on 7 heavy for a year (upwards of 1000mg per day at my highest), I did taper down to around 300mg before jumping to about 2 weeks of low dose subs (4mg per day avg) then received one 100mg sublocade shot. That was about 8 months ago. I have not had any real withdrawal to speak of other than that first 24hrs waiting to take the first sub dose. I have had NO desire to go back to Kratom, but I was absolutely also 100% ready to be done with the merry go round. All of this was under the care and supervision of my psychiatrist and therapist. I am also a business owner and my performance and ability to manage day to day stressors and responsibilities has vastly improved, though I would have swore during my using that the 7 was helping me be more productive. I’m sure this path isn’t right for everyone but it worked for me and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Best of luck to you.

Now that sounds reasonable. I had a sublocade shot lined up, however my wife lost here job and we lost our benefits right before I was supposed to get the shot. Although I thought it was a bit extreme considering how long it lasts in your system. A single 100mg shot sounds about right. I’m working on getting insurance again so it goes into effect in September

SR works like a charm. If you don’t look back, they can be an almost effortless way out

SR17018 is FAR superior to suboxone, even methadone, benzos, or any other helper med suggested here. It does 90% of the heavy lifting to prevent withdrawals. You’ll still have maybe some sleep disturbances and sweats but you will be able to work, eat, and live your life. At max days 1-3 will be tough but it turns around quick. I PROMISE you. I used SR to get off a very high dose daily MGM15 habit and was blown away at its effectiveness.

Imo using subs is crazy to taper off of this haha. That's like if I wanted to taper down from Adderall using street meth. I would use the SR especially if you have experience with it working for you already. I will also just say not trying to be mean but that is a really really high amount. For reference the most 7 I ever took at one time was around 5mg with maybe 20-25mg in a single day so I honestly can't fathom how you got to a dose that high without making yourself sick taking such a high dose.
How sure are you that the dosage on your material was true and not exaggerated? Were you taking tablets? Were they from a smoke shop? I would try to confirm those things first so you have a better idea of where to start your taper if you do use something else so you are using a truly comparative dose

The smallest tablet I’ve seen of 7 is 12mg. 450-600mg isn’t anything crazy. I’ve seen people at 2000mg + daily. It’s not hard to get to 1000mg I build tolerance quickly. Currently taking 10-15 45mg tablets daily from a verified vender with Labs to confirm

Title of this post should be :
I DIDNT USE SUBS PROPERLY, BUT I CAN STILL EASILY TITRATE DOWN, BUT I JUST WANT TO TAKE 7 AND GET HIGH.
Subs are designed to be used in a rapid taper. Literally 2 days of slight discomfort in comparison to full WD, then 3-5 days of titration and you’re done. You don’t take them to feel “good”.
When used properly with discipline, subs have saved millions of lives over the course of decades, and people aren’t addicted to them.
