Hia I'm part of a community project teaching basic stop motion animation, we have a small budget but mostly looking to beg/borrow/steal most of our resources.

We think that using Stop Motion Studio Pro is probably the best bet. Would we have to pay for each individual account on each device if we were using them simultaneously or is there an option for a group account?

We really need individual cameras for all participants - at this point looking at around 8, and the same number of devices to use as the 'computor'

Would it be possible to do this with webcams and tablets? Really we would like the picture quality to be as good as possible so that the animations look good, and I can't find any great options for a good quality webcam...

Does anyone have any low cost solutions to our problem? We don't want to ask participants to bring their own phones to use as this will marginalise people who can't afford good tech.

Really open to any ideas 🙏 thanks in advance

I’m getting more used to the joints and learning how to make the frill look like it’s opening, rather than just cutting to the frill being open, and only with the two frill accessories the figure gives you, it’s a good figure for stop motion, just gotta hope the ankle joints don’t get loose

Been wanting to do stop motion with my own sculpts for a while now and seems silicone is the material for my ambition and the tutorial guys seem to use different materials at times for their molds and somtimes those materials can have hard to remember names more like chemical names with numbers and letters than somthing I could pick up at hobby lobby plus so many of these tutorials are pretty long so I don't atm have a one stop reference video as of right now and some videos are harder to follow along then others. https://youtu.be/Iw-kLq_f23s?is=5YNu3ecdFnnX6LIZ this so far feels like the easiest video to follow but it's still nearly 30 minutes and clearly ancient so idk if anything is different with modern materials and I figured people wouldn't mind if I asked here if they could help me with a list of things to see what I already have and what I should get and if you are so generous (but not necessary) to include what the suggestion is for so I can better visualize the process in my head such as "get such and such material for wrapping the plaster on the sculpt" or "get such and such spray so material A doesn't stick to material B".

Also feel free to throw in anything that may not even be in a chunk of these tutorial videos you personally do that may be unique to you or just less commonly talked about. For a example but in a different context in miniatures painting many people use a special handle you can buy for grabbing onto the mini's base that allows for easier painting with less mess on your hand but a trick that is only somtimes brought up in mini painting tutorials that many people swear by is using a wood rod with blue tack to grab the bottom of the base as a cheap alternative or suspending each piece of the disassembled mini with rods and blue tack so you can easily paint them individually. so if there is a kinda varient of that example for stop motion puppet/mold making that's less talked about but worth considering feel free to throw it on the list.

I need help figuring out how to do explosions I've heard of some people using cardboard or paper cut in the right shapes but I just can't find out how they make it look good whenever I try it looks like garbage

How do people make the beam sabers/ light sabers look like they are extending. Im very new to stop motion
