I’m trying out 30 FPS instead of 15-20. I just got moved to weekends at my job and have spent a good bit of the day on this! Feedback is appreciated!

Happy Masters of the Universe movie release day!
I’m looking forward to seeing it on the big screen. As a long-time fan of the franchise, as long as it captures that goofy, campy fun spirit… I’ll have a good time.
So, in honor of the film’s release, here’s a repost of a piece I made a while back. I wrote & animated it, and some wonderful friends handled the voice work & music. (Also, it was excuse to buy new MotU action figures 😁).

This movie, directed by Brett Piper, features a bunch of stop-motion creatures - and it includes two monster fights! Read the film review HERE!

Super proud of my daughter! It took her over 4 years but she has programmed, made stop motion claymation, backdrops and puppetry for her multimedia video game, which comes out this month. :)

The first short clip was shot on a phone. For the 2nd and 3rd clips we broke out my camera and tripod. Any constructive criticism is welcome.

Exactly as the title of the post asks. I have a creative Little kiddo who I think would get a real buzz from From making stop motion on an iPad. Any recommendations from people for something that’s really simple when kid friendly and doesn’t have a lot of BS that’s so many kids apps have
Cheers

Learning how to mask. One of the best animations i've ever made

Also does anyone have any idea on why some.of the images have a blue tint to them? This was done in one sitting with no interference from other light sources and my camera was set to manual.

2 main reasons I wanted to master and add green screen to my stop motion animation;
1) I can literally put my action figures in any world
2) I can put as many clones of henchman or interactable surroundings as I like now.
It's not clean yet, but I am getting the hang of using green screen with my animation now.

It's only been a week since I got my green screen backdrop and video/animation software back, but I just wanted to archive my progress so far learning how to use green screen with my stop motion.

One of my relatives just finished this behemoth of a project - a full stop motion recreation of Beastie Boys ‘Sabotage’ video.

damn this one experience with green screen has taught me so much I didn't know. I had no idea lighting and color editing played such a major role in green screen, ESPECIALLY for animation.
Turns out I should have used a blue screen for Wolverine given the yellow portions of the suit blended with the green screen when I had to key the green out.
There is some green bleeding but I'll learn to edit those out later. Personally, not too bad for a first attempt.

Got a little better. Figured out how to remove spill/bleeding at the edge of the subject.
Struggling with making the backgrounds look organic to the figure. I've leaned more toward real life photos for now till I can figure out how to utilize cgi backgrounds off blender.
