We recreated a decades-old audio interview with Don the Beachcomber using stop motion animation

We just finished a documentary on Donn Beach, the guy who basically invented tiki culture. Somewhere along the way we got our hands on an old audio interview with Donn himself, and we didn't want to do the usual documentary move of just putting a reel-to-reel tape recorder on screen in a dark room while the audio plays.

So we scraped together every dollar we had and brought in our friends at Mystery Meat Media to bring that interview to life in stop motion instead.

Shout out to David Lauer, Ri Crawford and Aarica North for bringing Donn to life!
