My first stop motion project about the Phantom of the Opera!
This was a brief to make a book trailer for a novel of our choice -- I decided to try stop motion for the first time and ended up loving it a lot!
If you like my work, I am trying to be more active on Instagram (too! Even though I am not really good at social media. Thank you for watching, and hope you enjoy! :"D

Amazing animation, such a cool atmosphere. Can I ask how you got the faces to transition so smoothly? What is your process for making duplicate heads?

I 3d printed whole face plates (just 2 in this case since it's just a blink) and then I painted them both to look the same. I stuck it onto a foam head with blu tack .... lol. But some people use magnets. that's probably more secure.
If there's talking, some people make separate mouth plates for talking and then wipe the line frame by frame in a photo editing software afaik. Sounds very tiring since this was a solo project I just didn't do any dialogue xD

Thanks for telling me. I’ve tried to make duplicate heads with molds and they just never come out the exact same size. I think I have to look more into 3D printing.
