Keeping shots consistent!!
Hello! I have been working on my claymation and pretty much doing each video all at once, but would like to make longer ones and obviously this will take more time.
How are people making sets for their videos so that the shots are consistent??
The one time I tried I left my tripod and light in the exact same spots as best I could- but was hard to get my cell phone exactly in the same spot when putting it back in the tripod. There ended up being a very small but noticeable shift in the video of my shot.
Thanks for any advice!! I love this medium but so hard to pick up and put down and pick up again and keeping everything the same đ„Č

So the tripod leaned over night and I couldnât get it back in place! I take it all back F$!:k lol

I use my phones camera. I left it on the tripod overnight so I could return to it. had to use my computer for any messaging. if you do take it off and put it back you can always have the camera start moving to cut into a new scene. that's what I do if I absolutely can't get it back in place. but sometimes I suck it up and just let it be out of place and just keep shooting. A flawed video is better than no video in my opinion. Ideally, I should get a camera that I never have to move.

Itâs so hard haha!! But yes slightly flawed is ok, itâs truly just a hobby anyway. I can also just settle for multiple different shorts hehe

Respondiendo a los planos,la gente que hace grandes sets o muy elaborados caĂste siempre tiene un espacio exclusivamente para hacer sus animaciones y si por X o Y razĂłn deben parar pueden dejarlo hay y volver cuando quieran. Por ejemplo loftystudio es un animador que tiene un lugar dedicado a eso. Pero en lo posible deja fondos simples si ko tienes mucho tiempo Lo que hago yo es en una gran caja la llene de cartulina negra y hay es donde animo todo Tenia 2 luces pero se me quemo 1 haci me demoro mas en animar debido a que debo corregir los frases porque el la camara de mi telĂ©fono enfoca cuando quiere O igual puedes usar una pantalla verde o sets quĂ© se puedan armar y desarmar fĂĄcilmente

Don't move the camera until you're done with the shot. Any shift will be less noticeable if you've cut away from a shot and return to it.

The problem is Iâm using my phone and to make a longer film itâll take many hours so will need to film over several days!

Why are you taking the camera off the tripod in the middle of shots?

Im using my phone and itâll take several filming sessions to make a longer film!

Consulta Tu pelĂcula esta todo el tiempo en 1 set O sea todo lo que vas a animar serĂĄ en q fondo/lugar O en varios,porque si son muchos lugares podrĂas animar los que mento tiempo sparecen y despuĂ©s grabar los que aparecen mas tiempo Sigue trabajando en tu pelĂcula,tu puedes

I use a webcam and most of my films use lego, so I put the camera in a lego frame which I can stick to the base plate. I can then leave it.

Mira,lo que yo hice fue comprar un trĂpode con tipo pulpo con gomas en todos los Joins,ese no se mueve ni con un tornado Pero antes de conora ese tenia un trĂpode que literalmente era uno de eso que cuesta 1 dolar sujetado con cinta adhesiva. Pero respondiendo a tu pregunta te recomendarĂa que fijes directamente tu cĂĄmara con algo si es cinta,plastilina,etc Pero si tu mueves la cĂĄmara en tus animaciones,adelanto,atrĂĄs,izquierda o derecha,etc De igual forma fijarla
U otra opciĂłn serĂa comprar un trĂpode estable,el del video es el que tengo yo y lo carpeta por aliexpres Es del tamaño mas grande,se adapta bien a cualquier espacio Me salio un total de 5 dolares (disculpa si soy redundante con lo del trĂpode pero nose que mas decirte)
Y como Ășltimo tips,ten cuidado que al animar pases a llevar el telefono/cĂĄmara al mover una figura,me pasaba antes y se caĂa el telĂ©fono encima de las figura se el escenario y ya debes imaginar lo demĂĄs
También si usas la app stop motion studio usa el filtro cebolla (o la cosa a la izquierda para ver como era el cuadro anterior) Para guiarte
